For over 30 years, Adam Puchta Winery has grown from a humble 1,000 gallons of wine produced in 1990 to a production capacity of over 75,000 gallons and has won many state, national and international awards with our unique Missouri wines. As the Adam Puchta Winery has continued to grow over the years, the original buildings have been utilized and repurposed for many different uses. The original stone home houses the winery’s main salesroom and tasting area, while the original Press House is now used for tasting experiences and connects with an open-air covered seating area. G. Husmann Wine Company
George Husmann “Father of the Missouri Grape Industry” immigrated to Hermann in 1838 and planted his first vineyard in 1847 on his father’s farm. After his father died in a dust explosion at the local mill, which is now home to our Tin Mill Restaurant, George left for California to join the Gold Rush. He then returned to Hermann in 1852 to help take care of his sister’s farm and then proceed to build his own winery in Hermann by 1859.
